If I understand correctly, you worship what I call the "Teflon God".
That is a Christian God that is somewhat biblical, when convenient, but so ill defined that it never conforms to any negative definition, biblical or otherwise.
For instance, if I were to come up with a few biblical passages I found unnecessarily cruel, like God sending a couple of murderous she-bears to kill 42 children for calling a priest bald (2 Kings 2:23-24), you could easily just say, "no, that's not my god, my God would never do that".
Believers need to stop worshipping this Teflon God. Define what god you believe in, process the criticism, then defend his actions.
